It's been a reaaaally long time since I updated, so I figure it's time to let you guys know what I've been up too...

Classes let out a few weeks ago, and I've been enjoying kicking back and relaxing a little, and getting some things done around the house.....For those of you who know my Youtube account, I have a funny video posted of me and a friend of mine from college goofing around, it's pretty funny....

I have a lot of animal updates to share with you guys.....Firstly, and sadly, I don't have Irwin anymore, he was sick when I got him and spent his entire time with me sick, he never responded to all the medicine I had to give him, and finally his health was declining fast....I was ready to have him euthanized, but then I had another idea.....since he was oringally caught from the wild, I thought perhaps he just wasn't doing well in captivity, some snakes just can't become captive animals......so I released him back into the wild, it's his one last shot at life, so I hope he does well, wherever he is now.

Secondly...we now have a pet Peacock! He showed up here last week out of nowhere, and has decided to move in with us and demands that we feed him :) I have a picture of him posted here. We've been calling him "Big Bird" We have no idea where he came from, but no one has showed up to claim him, and no one we know raises them around here, we even think he could have possibly been dumped here on purpose....my mom said the day he showed up a truck was stopped at the end of our driveway for a while, and as soon as it left he showed up on the porch. So it looks like he's here to stay, and we've been feeding and watering him. He spends a lot of time on the porch and around the house eating bugs , and follows us around the yard when we're outside, and sleeps in trees at night :) We're thinking about possibly getting him a female for company and maybe starting a whole flock of them :) This guy is still young, but struts around with his feathers fanned out a little..he also likes to hang out with our outdoor cat Boomer!

Tommorrow I have a new snake coming, that Ryan bought me as an early bithday present! He's a yearling Macklot' s Python, a great python that you don't hear too much about....I can't wait!!

Cleatis foundered in his right front hoof about a month ago, so he's been wearing a grazing muzzle and getting frequent hoof trimmings to correct it since....he was really lame for a while but he's improving....the vet told us it looks like he's foundered before and the previous owners just never let us know that little bit of info, since donkeys don't usually founder as it is....so we weren't expecting it...but with all the pasture we have this year, it makes sense.......we're going to have a horse load of hay this year!

Everything else is going great.....me , Ryan, and my parents are all going on a vacation in a few days to Kentucky to see some animal sites like the KY reptile zoo and the KY Horse Park ...it should be a blast, and we should have some great photos and videos of it!

In June I have to go to the doctor and have all my vaccines updated for Nursing classes in the fall, I also have to take a drug test and background check...both will be clean of course! After that, I just have to buy my uniform and find out what else I need and I'll be ready to become the model nursing student.....ok, so I've never really been a model student, but I do ok...I'm just going to try and go a little further and be a little better student this time around. I have no problem with learning new things, I just tend to get easily distracted when it comes to what I should be doing and what I'd rather be doing...LOL

So thats about it for my little update, its been a little exciting here lately, and everyone's doing great!

I'll update tommorrow after I get my new snake :)

Yeah, the cages snakes are kept in rarely give them the heat and humidity they need to successfully incubate the eggs, so they have to be moved within at least the first day I would say..........Whats worse is they might actually be decomposing in the cage along with the mother ...I'd have him pull her out and clean it out really well.

That's precisely what he said he'd do. If it's at least 30 or...27 days to hatching, it's probobly too late *slump* Plus I rarely see him v__v

Uh oh, they haven't been taken out of the terrarium? Chances are none of them will make it out...

Tell the owner they should be put in an incubator immediately if he really wants them to survive....it's worth taking a bite from mom to keep them alive!

I just HAVE to tell you this!

Friday, I told my kitty-corner neighbor I got a ball python last yearand I knew he had two for eight years. He said he thought he had two males. One just kept getting bigger. When he came back from a hunting trip, there were a bunch of eggs in the tank :D ! Mommy won't leave them, and she'll strike if you try to touch them :XD:

I figured that if she attacked people, she'd attack the male but when I saw them, then male was underneath her and the female didn't seem to care. They're always in the same tank so I thought that was odd too. Then again...*blank*

The neihbor said that most of the eggs that he saw were shrivled up because the terraruim wasn't humid enough :( . But if ALL of them were shriviled, then wouldnt mommy leave? Lol, if there are survivors, I'm gonna ask to adopt a female :XD: . At least 30 days left, I think...

So, that was the random-yet-cool news on snake breeding I thought I would mention to you ';P

yeah, that site is the snake forum that I participate on...It's caused a huge uproar among snake people....I'm not so sure the whole thing is going to go through...theres too many little things that would never pass....like saying ''all pythons and boas'' when the ball python is the most popular pet snake in the world...and even if it did go through there would still be sales in state, so it really makes no sense, and I'm hoping it'll amount to nothing. If they start this with pythons and boas it wont be long until they start it on other species. I'm not sure if I'm technically allowed to own Vegas in my state, but I'm not sure on that one. I understand the need to protect certain species, but they're trying so hard to restrict this hobby so much, it's insane.
